imagine the sun rising and setting, rising and setting, very similar to the effects in the ringling museums's minature circus exhibition, where wandering the room for an hour, the viewer lives through at least a month of dawnings. so we have lived through a long wait and, at last, THE BOOKS ARE HERE! if you have been awaiting hand delivery, hold your breath only a day or two longer. if you odered via the WEB, you may have had yours before i got mine [frowns] wait a sec.  that doesn' sound quite right.  oh, whatever!

Today's Trauma: SNAFU

The countdown is on.  We wait on the final galley proof. Impatient, toe-tapping impatient because I submitted the last set of corrections (2 items that had already been submitted TWICE) on the 7th.  And they sat.  And they sat. And they sat.  Why?  Not just because it was the weekend and everything seems to shut down on the weekend (which is ridiculous to my way of thinking) but because APPARENTLY the powers that be decided that I had sent the corections to the wrong person. Who did no return them to me or forward them.  I dunno. My notes say "send to A"   All previous was sent to A.  If A is out of the loop, how about A or B inform me of that? 48 hours. I am counting. Like a stick of dynamite attached to a timer, I am counting. Gene says it will all be fine.  That is easy for him to say, HE does not have a reading scheduled.  HE does not appreciate the spotlight.  HE is out on the boat today while I deal with this and with dayjob.  [sigh]  I need tea.  You'll excuse me now.  I hope you enjoyed the rant.  Be back tomorow for the next installment of  "As the Anxiety Blooms"

Gene and I love each other. We do.  We have a wonderful friendship.  Look at us, we wrote a book together! But I am a bitch to live with.  And he is a royal pain. We get along GREAT- 180 miles apart. We want to do a sequel. We can't do that if we kill each other. God bless and keep you Gene...far away from me! Gene:  Same to you, Rob!  Same to you!

TIME IS NOT ON OUR SIDE	Posted: 04/25/2008
Nerves.  I need nerves of steel. And maybe something stronger.  Uploaded the galley corrections, revised synopsis,  cover corrections and now.... we wait and we wait and then we wait some more. It's too much for me.  I'm going to play a round of mini-golf and MAYBE by the time I get back it'll all be done. Why do I so doubt that?
